Hello, I just acquired a Philips Vesta Fun Webcam (PCVC665k) and I wanted to test the macam app with it, and I found that it really works but with some drawbacks:
1) It works horribly in low light environments, it seems that the exposure is to low for it to grab enough light, this doesn't happend in Windows, were the camera works at full exposure in low light environments. 2) Not all the options shows up in the camera settings, the Rate is at 5 fps when this cam can a normal 15 fps or a max of 30 fps. I tried it on VirtualPC and I found something interesting about the point 1. As I said it works well in Windows but not in macam, but if I first use it in VPC and then try macam it shows ok as in Windows (except the frame rate) Hope this help making this app better! any question, suggestion or tip welcome.
