Hello all,

is there anybody who can check the problem with my camera (Creative Live! Cam Vista IM)?

Let me know if I can do any test support.

Thanks and have nice Easter holidays.

Thomas

Hi Harald,

the version 0.9.1 looks like the CVS built 2007-03-06, i.e. both the macam application and others using macam.component detect the camera type, display it in the settings (Skype2.0.0.6), the green status LED of the webcam is and remains on since first application start (it should only light if a stream is detected), but no camera content is displayed - black sreen. Maybe a useful hint: if I press the PLAY button in macam application, the text below the video screen changes from 'Status: Verbunden mit Creative Live! Cam Vista IM' to 'Staus: Wiedergabe' and then after less than one second: 'Status: USB-Kommunikationsfehler'.

If I can send you any logfiles, please let me know.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hello MACAM developers,

today I bought a new webcam: Creative Live! Cam Vista IM and tried to get it working under MAC OSX. It seems that it doesn't work yet. The official macam built 0.9.0 doesn't detect the camera, but the CVS built '2007-03-06' at least detects the camera, changes resolution, displays its name but doesn't display a camera content. The same happens with Skype 2.0.0.6: the official built doesn't do anything, the CVS built detects the camera, opens the settings menu for video but doesn't display any camera content.

I use MAC OS 10.3.9, latest security update.

Here are the camera dates from system profiler:

Creative Live! Cam Vista IM:

  Herstellername:
  Geschwindigkeit: Bis zu 12 MBit/Sek
  Produkt-ID: 16466 ($4052)
  Bus-Strom (mA): 500

I wish you good luck by enhancing MACAM and would like to get informed if the Live! Cam Vista IM is supported. Thanks in advance. If I can help in testing anyhow please let me know.

Best regards
