Thanks for your understanding. I thought I'd be flamed for this post ;-) > what do you think would be more useful, a video or a blog format? I think blog format is much more useful. I totally fail to understand how people come to think those screencasts are useful at all. Most of the time the quality of the video is so bad that you can't read anything. And the speaker talks so fast that you have a hard time to keep up if you try to grasp the new concepts at the same time. If English is not your native language, you've lost. On a blog, you can go forward with the speed that fits to your grasp ratio. And you can always go back a couple of lines to re-read some paragraph. Screencasts are useful just for one thing: if you want to demonstrate how fast a task can be done. But if the goal is to teach somebody some new concept, traditional methods are a much better fit, IMHO. > ISTR some of the lispcast episodes were dedicated to weblocks.. have you > seen those? After looking those screencasts, I think the contents are probably just right. But since it is almost not readable and he speaks so fast that it is not possible for me to keep up, I can't tell for sure. > And here is obakechan's original blog app extended, but it suffers from the > same lack of explanatory text.
