One of the common problems I noticed is the IP and server name being used in the hosts setting. If you could open up the hosts file, verify the local host and the server name that are defined properly.

The other one is to check the log output file and see if the app is running. If there is no output file, typically the Monitor is unable to run it.

Hi

I tried to start WebObjects Application in Terminal and it succeeded. But I
still can't start the same application's instance. I don't know why.

Running in Terminal has some troubles for example if you turned off it, the
application will be shutdown.
