Good luck with that! :-P
sions. But not .woa permissions. I would guess that your app
starts, the immediately crashes due to a perms problem.
Try launching it from the command line with
sudo -u appserver <app name> <params as used in JavaMonitor>
I have done that seemingly dozens of times to see if any new
inspiration would occur.... it just runs when I do that. No crashes
nothing. Shows up in JavaMonitor as running.
You are _certain_ you are using the _exact_ _same_ parameters as when
launching though JM? Exactly? Try following the step 1 from here:
http://www.gvcsitemaker.com/gvc.webobjects/
faq&mode=single&recordID=41413
Restart wotaskd. Do either of the /tmp/woapplaunch.log or /tmp/
wothreaddump.log files show anything?
Chuck
hat was why I was working on the .woa permissions.
Did you try the touch tests in that FAQ?
yes and no problems
Finally another thought...
This is my first deployed app from my new Eclipse/WOLips/Leopard
setup. Could there be something in that?
I have tried with both Java1.5 and 1.4 even though my server is
running 1.5 though the old app from the old setup
always compiled for 1.4.
Could be an API difference. Are you embedding frameworks?
no embedded frameworks
Sorry to be so stuck in the mud here but now I am really afraid
to push my other big app that is due soon.
You need to stop thinking along the lines you have been.
Time for a beverage.
