Chuck,

Any ideas on how to set the debug level for NSLog from the command line
of JavaMonitor?  I looked through the documentation on JavaMonitor but
did not find anything.

If those permissions were wrong, you would not get a blank screen -  
you would get a blank configuration.

That should be irrelevant.

I'd try using NSLog command line setting to max out the debug info and  
run it from the command line again.
