one thing I will say about ssd is that it's the #1 biggest bang for the buck you can buy ... there's no processor bump, hd speed increase, or memory increase you can spend your money on that will give you anywhere near the equivalent end-user benefit as ssd. i can't imagine ever going back to platters.
