I don't use it either but... a year or so ago Ben Trumbull wrote to the list and corrected my abuse of the SEC. According to Ben (and I trust Ben's statements), the SEC is now bug free as far as he is aware _if_ you use it correctly. I think this usage was documented on the Wiki. It is probably safe to swim in that water, at last.
