Yes, I know. But this would ease WOLips development and would make models interpretation more accurate to WebObjects runtime (access to things like NSCoder, future WO addons and extensions, even spotting WO bugs...).

I think that was Mike's point. The current WOLips implementation uses the frameworks linked to the project to determine the runtime reality. That sounds to me like a reasonable approach. But Mike would be in the best position to figure this out.

I think the best would be to add a WebObjects plugin to WOLips for each supported releases (i.e. 5.3.3, 5.4, etc.), and allow the user to select the right version in WOLips preferences.

This assumes no WOnder frameworks are linked right? And no modifications to them to...?
