I had the exact same problem when I started back a few weeks ago...
The SQL generator is completely broken. You will need to switch to
5.3 if you want to generate sql for your database.
Wow. OK. I'm assuming bugs have been filed?
WO 5.4.2 fixes this bug already, but it's not released yet.
