That 14K number came from website registrations that first year. We called them members for lack of a better term and that predates the real Membership from a governance perspective which came in March of 07 with the Constitution.

Perhaps the 100K are OS distro users and 115K are website registrations? The uses number is probably much higher when you count in the other distros (Jaris is getting significant downloads in Japan, for instance) and all the previous versions of Solaris Express we shipped for the years prior to the OS distro, etc.

I like the fact that we are recognizing our 4th birthday. :)
