Both come out quite wide. Far too wide, IMO. The banner could be simply "Happy 4th Birthday!". It's on the OpenSolaris home page, so OpenSolaris is implied. And if that's not obvious, then people may be more likely to click through to understand it. (And can the text in the bannerbe centered rather than left-justified?) For the page itself, the digit 4 drops off the right. I think I would shrink the digits a little, and think about stacking the then and now above each other rather than side by side. That would allow the text to be extended to clarify: - downloads: of what? - users: of what?
