If I sent a patch to support OpenID would it be rejected?
I'm afraid it would be rejected. We need information that OpenID is not
able to provide, such as the SCA status of non-Sun employees and the
employment status of Sun employees. We are responsible for both the
physical security and intellectual property rights of the source
repositories that we host. We will therefore not be using external
identity providers such as OpenID.
What's the plan for moving the forums? It seems you guys have cut Jive
software out of the picture entirely and I'm not finding a migration
path for the forums on the roadmap.. (Am I just missing it?)
Finding something to replace Jive Forums is on the list - it is EOL now
anyway. Ideally we'd want something that allowed unified management of
both the forums and the mailing lists.
