included the date which was an oversight. Let me know what you think.

Also, as far as helping people to find pages that have been renamed,
maybe we suggest first to go to the original URL (since it will redirect
to the new URL) and if they don't know the original URL, we suggest they
find the page on stage, then remove stage from the URL and it will
redirect to the new page?
It is a bit clunky, but it should work better than any other series of
steps I can think of.

I was thinking the text would initially note the 10/26 date as a
reminder to people about the upcoming change. Then on 10/26, the text
would change to say that the transition has happened and point out new
aspects of XWiki.
So maybe it's not really a traditional feature spot but we use the
space to remind people about the coming change and then use it to help
people get acclimated on the new site.
I'll think about some specific wording this evening.
