These redirections need to last until the release after 18 months from 2009.06, or until we release a new 2009.06+fixes ISO. (There are no plans to release such an ISO at the moment.) We will backport the fixed packagemanager into release/, if we haven't already, but the CD images will be a supported starting point until that date.
