Hi Jim -
Wasn't there going to be some replacement technology on the new site? Like
an RSS reader or something? I thought I remembered this from one of the
website transition meetings, as we also have blogs on our security pages.
We didn`t plan to replace the old tonic blog aggregator at the top level
of the site since it duplicates the blogs in each Collective for the
most part. Also, we have Planet, which is a nicer interface. Plus, 3
levels of aggregation seems a bit much. But each Collective in XWiki can
collect blogs in their space via the RSS macro.

Hey all,
The rss macro via editor=wiki does work now. And from what I've read about
XWiki there is a blog component (though this sounds like something to enable
a blogging type extension rather than rss ... which doesn't sound like a bad
option either).
The macro works via the WYSIWYG editor as well. I am posting blogs in
our UG space in Tokyo. I just created a parent page, Blogs, with a
listing of bloggers, links, and feeds and then gave each blogger a child
page under Blogs for the content. Seems to work ok.

It`s not as pretty as Planet, but it works. Perhaps it will evolve in
subsequence versions of XWiki.
