Hi gang -
I just noticed why Gary thought this bug had not been updated
on b.o.o. for nearly 2 years: the time stamps are being stripped
from the Description as well as the email address. (thus you
cannot tell where one entry ends and the next begins).
see this CR for an example:
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6661895
is this a known issue?

Looking through the code this looks like a feature and was done
intentionally.
Hi Bill -
Can you please provide more feedback? The removal of timestamps
makes the bugs unreadable. If someone really feels that confidential
data would be leaked by the timestamps, than at *least* leave
the delimiters there, so that people looking at the bug will know
that the note was modified at a different time (and likely by
a different person). as it is now, they all run together in
a very confusing manner.
Thank you,
Valerie
Our group inherited the BOO code earlier this year. It was originally
written by contractors in another group and was based on bugs.sun.com.
There is essentially no documentation or historical information
available about the code or why choices were made. I agree with you
that filtering out dates doesn't make much sense; I was simply pointing
out that the behavior you noticed was implemented as a feature.
If you feel this behavior should be changed, please file an RFE on
defect.opensolaris.org. But note that resources are not available to
work on this application soon.
Bill
