Hi Philip :)

What are you looking for?

If 5.0, then an updated version of 5.0 will be going into a
forthcoming version. 5.0.67 is available now. We are dropping
integration for 5.0 longer term in favour of 5.1.

Yes, 5.1 is happening, yes, 5.1 will be in a forthcoming build drop of
OpenSolaris.

Regular updates will depend on when the MySQL version becomes
released, and then how quickly we can effectively test and deploy into
the OpenSolaris pkg repository. At the moment, I think we haven't
decided on a fixed schedule for this work yet.

It also depends on what you are looking for. We are integrating 5.1.30
into OpenSolaris - if you need/want a newer version, you will need to
use the MySQL pkgs. Be aware that the file locations and installation
directories will be different between the OpenSolaris integrated and
standard MySQL PKG installations.

Also, the 5.1.30 in OpenSolaris will include DTrace probes, which are
not available in the dev.mysql.com Sun PKGs.

For more information on the integration, see this message:

Any questions, let me know here or at work ;)
