Hi
Well, the answer would depend on what you are looking for..

- If you want bleeding edge binaries for a version as soon as they are
released then mysql.com carries these binaries - both in pkg as well as
in gz file format.

- If you are looking for MySQL community edition binaries on a
OpenSolaris platform where you can also get support along with the OS,
then these should be available as part of OpenSolaris pkg repository
and a new version will be available when OpenSolaris 2009.06 is
released. For more information on how to install these binaries check out
http://wikis.sun.com/display/WebStack/Web+Stack+Getting+Started+Guide

- Similarly, if you are looking for MySQL community edition binaries
along with support on Solaris 10, then Sun Web Stack
(http://www.sun.com/webstack) will be the place to get it. Again,
upcoming Web Stack 1.5 release will carry MySQL 5.1 as well as MySQL
5.0.77 runtime.

If you didn't know this already, Web Stack project - where you just
posted this question - is responsible for delivering an optimized and
supported AMP (Apache, MySQL and PHP) runtime within OpenSolaris as well
as Solaris 10 and RHEL 5

Hope this clarifies
- Sriram
