Hi Vaughn,

yes the build-system is a quite complex stuff. ;-)

I stopped trying to build it by my own - long time ago. I'm still using Webtests at work and do enjoy it, but I stopped trying to contribute by digging into the sources.
(no offense folks, you doing a great job!)

with the actual sources from svn I do fail to compile too:
--------------------------
$> ant develop
.....
.....
test.init:

unitTest.single:

unitTest.batch:
[echo] Unit test report will be generated in /home/michael/projekte/svn_webtest/build/log/TestReport.xml [delete] Deleting directory /home/michael/projekte/svn_webtest/build/test-reports [mkdir] Created dir: /home/michael/projekte/svn_webtest/build/test-reports

BUILD FAILED
/home/michael/projekte/svn_webtest/build.xml:569: The following error occurred while executing this line: /home/michael/projekte/svn_webtest/build.xml:618: Problem: failed to create task or type junit Cause: the class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask was not found.
This looks like one of Ant's optional components.
Action: Check that the appropriate optional JAR exists in
        -/usr/share/ant/lib
        -/home/michael/.ant/lib
-a directory added on the command line with the -lib argument

Do not panic, this is a common problem.
The commonest cause is a missing JAR.

This is not a bug; it is a configuration problem
----------------------------------
yours
Michael Habbert
