Well, there's already a trail since everything is versioned. Vandals can't destroy anything, they can only disrupt and annoy. If you sign your work, that increases accountability -- that someone else can sign your name is actually something of a feature, since anyone can move things from the archives into the Wiki and put the right name on it, which isn't their own.
