Another aspect of this that I'm interested in: - being able to run scheduled functional tests throughout the lifetime of a webkit process and restart/report if the tests fail. Once the basic monitoring framework is setup it should be very easy to add a little wrapper around Steve Purcell's httpsession.py and PyUnit.
