Yes -- I'm the one that pointed out that our silence is mostly due to ignorance. Every so often UserKit comes up on the list, and no one ever replies, because we have nothing useful to offer on the subject. I also agree a user framework would be good. UserKit is rather opaque to me, though, and it's been around a long time without getting better. Maybe all it needs to get better is developer documentation -- but it really *needs* that documentation. I suspect it is using an OO style that Chuck took from WebObjects, and which is largely foreign to most of us here. Especially the use of mix-ins is hard to understand from the outside. I know UserKit is being used by some people, but AFAIK it's only being used by some old timers -- Chuck, maybe Geoff, any others? Unless it changes, I think we should split it off from Webware -- on a practical level it causes new users more problems than it is solving.
