Right now all mail systems are wonky due to the latest virus, so it's not always this bad. But I do agree that the list isn't great. While SF has its problems (the 1 day delay on anon CVS being another) it's also been pretty reliable in the long term -- any one system administrator (and thus usually any one system) will work great for a while, but the administrator's attention will wane maintenance will slip.
