Brandi, I wonder if below means that you're officially leading the group
tackling ambiguities in the implementation guides. I very much hope to
help
with this group, and offer the following suggestions:

 1) Breaking the group into sub-groups (sub-sub-groups?) by Implementation
 Guide

 2) Applying "Rules of the road":
 a) All participants should use e-mail addresses that can be consistently
mapped to full names, and associated companies or identification as an
independent consultant. Perhaps WEDI will help by administering and
 enforcing this?
 b) For independent consultants, consulting practices, and software
development companies, disclosure of translator companies and
transaction validation vendors with whom they do business.

 3) Reaching out to the chairs of the X12 or NCPDP committees, for a
representative from those groups. Such rep can seamlessly feed ambiguity
 resolutions into the DSMO processes.

I've seen a collaborative group successfully work through the 837I and P,
although with a different twist (not germane to this discussion) - the
exercise can be quite cut and dry and move quickly if participants agree to
collaborate and stay out of the pot-shot and unfair competition business.
That doesn't mean participants have to leave their business interests at
the
door - it means that they have to give fair consideration to the business
interests of individuals in the group - we CAN HELP each other, think "win
 win".

 Thank you for your consideration
