Hi Folks, I have had success installing an extra temperature sensor, and Weewx is displaying the value from /var/tmp/pond.txt (the sensor is on a remote RPi) as suggested in https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/add-sensor Many thanks for that.
The value from pond.txt is being interpreted as a Fahrenheit value, whereas it is in Centigrade. Where should i change the units for this value? [Units] shows group_temperature = degree_C Presently the file shows 4.8, whereas in Current conditions, the temp is displayed at -15.1. Unfortunate for the fish!
