I have the v4b wee_import working thru cron now. I was able to use it to back fill my database to May when things stopped working.
I am still trying to look at the new version of wee_reports to try and get the cheetahgenerator to create the graphs, but unsuccessful so far. I need to do more reading to understand the settings again? I found that my v3.8.0 wee_reports generated the graphics on the first run, so I added that to my cron for the time being, but it seems to have stopped on the last run. I am going to give it a couple more tries as I made some changes to my script to specify the config files. I am not sure if WU will throttle my usage, so I set my cron to twice a day, and I will see how it goes.
