A man lost out on the Irish version of "Who Wants To
Be A Millionaire?" after flipping a coin to pick his answer.
Patrick Spooner has already won �340,000 on the
British and Australian versions of the quiz show. The
35-year-old was asked to name the youngest son of
Pierce Brosnan for 4,000 Euros. He flipped a coin and
said Tyrone when the correct answer was Paris.
A woman's lover used knotted sheets to lower himself
from a Dutch hotel room as her husband knocked at the
door. But the 42-year-old German lost his grip and fell to
the ground. He was treated in hospital before returning
to the hotel in Rotterdam to pay for the damage. He had
smashed a third floor window to escape.
A Dutch woman wants damages after a sperm bank lost
her donor's deposit and inseminated her with someone
else's. The woman already has one child by her chosen
donor and wanted a second. Mistakes at the labs lost the
rest of his stored sperm and medics inseminated her 13
times with another sample without her knowing.
Austrian police say an arsonist mother tipped off her
firefighter sons so they were always first to arrive at
her fires. They say her sons became suspicious after
the ninth such call in a month. The woman faces arson
charges. She says she wanted them to look like heroes.
