A young woman has been given a six-month jail sentence
for stealing her flatmate's G-strings. Cindy Ntjangase then
agreed to pay a �7 fine instead of going to jail. She pleaded
guilty to theft by taking two G-strings from her flatmate in
Ngwana Park, Swaziland.
A Singaporean woman has been jailed for five years after
admitting she bit off her housemaid's nipple. Jennicia
Chow Yen Ping had earlier pleaded guilty to abusing her
19-year-old maid by bitings and beatings. She admitted
10 offences of causing 'severe bodily pain' and has been
jailed for five years. The court heard how she repeatedly
bit Kusmirah Mujadi on the breast and nipples.
Virgin Radio has been fined �75,000 for broadcasting a
"swearword hangman" competition involving a child. The
Radio Authority says the broadcast led to a serious breach
of rules on taste, decency and offence to public feeling.
The on-air competition called Swearword Hangman was
broadcast at just before midnight on January 18.
