Police in Chile have arrested a suspected armed robber
after he went back to apologise to his victims. Officers say
the man even asked for his gun back after trying to rob an
off licence in Santiago. He was arrested when police turned
up at the shop after he had arrived to apologise and ask for
his weapon back. He is to stand trial.
Bangladeshi police say five highwaymen have been crushed
to death by a truck they were trying to hold up. They parked
their car in the way of the cow truck to block its path so they
could steal it. The truck ploughed on straight over the car,
killing four of the occupants instantly and leaving the other
fatally injured.
A Connecticut woman is facing charges after allegedly driving
her car around the inside of a store. Police accuse Melodie
Morsicato of ploughing her Nissan Stanza through the Target
store's locked doors in New Britain. She then is alleged to have
driven around the aisles, scattering goods across the floor in
her wake. She then apparently came to stop in the store's lawn
and patio furniture section when the police arrived.
