A senior royal official in Swaziland is warning women
who wear trousers in public that soldiers will rip them
off. Jim Gama told a meeting that trousers were
disrespectful to the country's traditions. A resident
quoted him as saying soldiers will strip offenders
and rip their trousers to shreds. Mary Dlaminini,
22, said trouser-wearing women face being stripped
naked if they're caught.
A Thai man claims he's been eating up to 15 live
lizards a day to keep him free of stomach pains.
Suwan Meunlow says he started suffering from the
pains when he was 18 but couldn't cure the problem
despite visiting several doctors. The 48-year-old
says a neighbour told him eating a small house
lizard known as a jin jok would do the trick. He
told the Kao Sod newspaper he's swallowed up
to 15 live geckos every day for the last 30 years.
Suwan claims he's remained free from stomach
problems, and increased his sexual power.
New Zealand police have arrested a man after a
grave was dug up and the skull removed from it.
Officers say they expect to make two more arrests.
They say all three people are members of a
Gothic-style group of heavy-metal fans. The woman's
skull was stolen last week in Christchurch and
recovered along with a name plaque taken from
the coffin.
