Motorcycle tests in a Norwegian town have been
postponed because the available examiners are
too heavy to ride pillion. All the thin examiners at
Elverum Traffic Station are on summer holiday.
Those left on duty to put people through the light
motorcycle test weigh too much. The license
regulations include a maximum load that assumes
the driver weighs 75 kilos. A pillion passenger who
breaks the limit by himself isn't allowed, reports
Aftenposten.
People are fleeing Indian villages to escape a man
who allegedly plucks flesh from his victims with long
claws. Around 50 villages in the Ghazipur district of
Uttar Pradesh are in fear of the so-called monster
man who is reported to have attacked 36 people.
One of the man's victims claims to have seen red
and green lights coming from his body before he struck.
He is also rumoured to have long hair, blood-shot
eyes and claws like a tiger.
A New Yorker who jumped on the Yankees baseball
pitch to give a player her number has been arrested
at work. The woman who works at the luxury Bergdorf
Goodman department store says she's worried about
getting the sack. She took off her shoes and ran on to
the pitch to give Derek Jeter her number on the opening
day of the season. She missed a court date last week
but says she had planned to sort out the issue on her
day off.
