Police in Sweden say they stopped the same man
for drink-driving three times within three hours. They
first stopped the 30-year-old Norwegian for speeding
on the E18 motorway heading for Norway and found
he was over the limit. When he left the police station,
he got back in his car and drove off but was spotted
on CCTV cameras and arrested again. Police took
his car off him but later released it when the man
turned up with a friend who he said was going to
drive the car, reports Nettavisen. Half an hour later,
the police received new reports of a speeding car
on the E18 to Norway and found the man was back
in the driving seat and still over the limit.
Six men have been cleared of nudity charges at
Toronto's Gay Pride parade because they were
wearing shoes. The men, who are all members of
Totally Naked Toronto Men Enjoying Nudity, were
arrested at the parade in June. Initially, they were
threatened with prosecution under Canada's
indecency laws. But their lawyer Peter Simm told
the Toronto Sun that charges were dropped because
they were technically wearing clothes.
A Jaguar supercar has been found behind a bricked
up staircase of a failed company. The 10-year old
Jaguar XJ220 has just 11 miles on the clock and
was found at a warehouse owned by the Marlborough
Carpets firm in Cardiff. The car would cost �415,000
new and has a top speed of 213mph. It was bought
as an investment. The Times says the company's
liquidators will be lucky to get more than �100,000
for it.
