Just out of interest, what would a Rhondda double decker have been
doing in Porthcawl?

During my time in South Wales, the Pontypridd-Porthcawl services
(240/244) were always worked with single deckers, and generally only
short ones (Tiger Cubs or PSU4 Leopards).
