Ive had a similar issue when photographing on the railways. Earlier this year I took a photo where the driver lent out of the cab window with his two fingers up in a similar fashion- Unfortunately for him, I knew his operation manager at the depot he was based at and by the end of his shift, he was suspended pending further investigations which ultimately lead to disciplinary action. There's absolutely no need for it, especially when they are the public face of large corporate companies!
