Follow-up Comment #12:
Taking over this patch. It's too late in the 1.8 process to apply, especially
as I'm not too sure what to do about get_variable_const. I will reconsider
this patch once 1.9 opens, since I need something akin to it anyway, in order
to implement a type system for WML variables and hence to reduce the memory
footprint of config objects. In the meantime, I'm attaching an updated
version.
