Follow-up Comment #2, bug #15676 (project wesnoth):
Epilogue might not be the right word here... I'm referring to the
introductory text at the very beginning of the campaign AOI (the one you can
skip if you want so), and the background for it, and the first map which
shows the path of the Deoran (I haven't checked for other scenarios for that
campaign at this time).
I know that there should be the map, I have seen it before, so it was a
surprise for me to get a black screen with the title "Born to the Banner" and
red dots walking on that.. but no map!
I can't comment whether it is fixed in the trunk (hence the report), because
I have installed version 1.7.15. Just recompiled it (I'm on Gentoo), but the
issue is still there.
Ok, I checked on, my Ubuntu machine and there it is ok. So this one is Gentoo
specific. Any ideas how to debug this?
