Follow-up Comment #2, bug #22324 (project wesnoth):

(sorry for double reply, no clue how edit previous one)

Just to make it more clear, when you write this code

[set_variable]
    name=str_hello
    variable=_"Hello"
[/set_variable]

the value of str:hello will be "Hola", "Alo", "Hello" or whatever language
settings had host, and there is no way to recover translatable string to
change the first translation when game was run for first time.
