I still think that directing a project is very important and that there is
not enough direction at the moment. However i have to admit that the project
is running well, probably because there is not much potential for conflicts,
as most people are working on different parts of the game. I am pretty sure
though, that direction is still needed, if there are conflicting opinions
(as had been the case with "slow"). Sometimes it is important to make a
decision, regardless if it is the best possible or not. Otherwise we have a
lot of annoying discussions with a very low output. The art of project
management is to know when to end such a discussion. But i am getting off
topic.

I would appreciate to have more leadership but to be honest i don't have a
good alternative. We used to discuss this on irc and the most difficult
thing is to find someone who is widely accepted as a authority within the
team. There seems to be only one person and guess who that is? Yes, it's
you, Dave. Nevertheless right now this is not a problem (not for me, that
is) and i hope it stays that way.

I am quite happy now since i am one of those persons that can arrange with
most anything. I feel my stomach grumble a little for reasons i can not name
exactly at the moment. For us coders, i still miss the "big picture". Not
regarding what to code but how to make it fit into the application in order
to keep the code clean, easy to understand and maintainable (the last is
probably my biggest concern). I might eventually come up with a more
detailed proposal about this.

Greetings

Jörg
