Although I agree with the idea that doing difficulty scaling via the AI
is probably overkill, it *is* something I'd love to see happen.

In theory, you could do it today in WML, based on some analysis of
starting gold and units, or even during a scenario.  But it'd be nice to
have a single WML knob to say "autoadjust", with some parameters
(feedback from stats.wesnoth.org?)
