Dear John A. Jackson, Thank you for raising these issues, particularly the questions at the end. Yes, we are a registered entity but I think there are still structural issues which need to be discussed and resolved, which also include issues to do with the Secretariat. Perhaps it will call for a physical gathering of all those who aspire to be members of the West Nile Forum. Through such a gathering we should be able to make clear and binding resolutions than the limited comments we have been exchanging on the net. We should be able to set an agenda for action through out the year or business period, let alone the advocacy issues, which many a times arise unplanned. Through such an agenda we should then be able to call, guide and deliver on our actions. The agenda will further help to evaluate our progress at the end of any business period. I suggest that we have the structural issues physically sorted out but not on line and we have them minuted. Otherwise minus that it may not be easy to coordinate moral, financial and any other support for the development of the forum. Happy New Year to you and all forum members. Aggrey Adrale

He/she who has knowledege can change the way he/she wants to live. We have come from all walks of life, PhD's, Master Degrees, BA, BC's, Diploma's, etc. The talent we have is enromous. How can we effectively harness and use this talent? There is so much we can deliver to our communities and solve so many problems. This can only be done if we become effective teams. Constructive criticism empowers people, open their eyes to see where they did not. Destructive criticism demotivates people. People withdraw into their safe havens. Excessive criticism paralyses the people who have the positive energy to lead and get things done. As professionals, I would ask those who like this style of writing to tame their language, soothe it, Look before you Lip. Think twice when you construct your words. Read between the lines before commending. Big businesses and organizations like Red Cross and Rotary are run by people like us. They have skills we all have. Only a handful have united to come together, forgot their differences for a common vision and purpose. I want to ask everyone to reflect on this simple questions a) What does it take effective teams to win a game? b) What realistic things can we deliver to our people as sons and daughters from West Nile? c) Shall we ever deliver anything if we are so critical, disunited and always bikering? d) When shall we ever deliver what we promise to deliver? I rest my case.
