Since the new Bishop was installed; there has been one crisis after
another. At one point; there was a shameful clash between the parishioners
and Bishop over opening of new mission at Kubala; Terego.
Recently; there was another class over an old mission pick up at Aripea;
mission Terego. As we speak; the mission is shut down without a priest.
The church is such d is - repair it may fall down one day. The foundation
is being washed by rains. The painting has never been redone since 1966.
If look back at history of development; the Catholic and Anglican churches
have done so much to make West Nile what it is today. Most of you went to
either catholic or Anglican schools.
Christians from this region have very high expectations of their bishops
not only church leaders but inspire development.
We cannot zip our mouths and expect these problems to fix themselves. We
need to look at root cause of the problems. Initiate dialogue. Come up with
a plan to resolve these problems.
We all need peace. Wherever there is peace; there is opportunity for
development. The Burrell of the gun should not be used solve every problem.
