Clause A: No nonsense blunt style of standard mail lists
Clause B : "Friendly and welcoming to newbies" style.

A and B are opposed to each other in many ways.

Example:
Clause A conflicts "addressing people by name". The usual way is
supposed to be @<name> or @<email username>. "Addressing people by
name" is same as "addressing entire list by that name", therefore is
to be frowned upon. But that would make the list a "list of people".

Clause C: Experienced members follow standard mail list rules to full
perfection.

Clause E: Newbies can be permitted to be sloppy on rules ....
but we should flag poor sense.

Question1: Is C+E our strategy or do experienced members follow new
weakened versions of standard rules?
