Thank you for answering my query. I have the DOS port; indeed, my
interest in wget was the result of reading the documentation included
in that package. But using it would not be very practical. I would
have to install and configure a TCP/IP stack and a dialer; and then
I would have to make a separate telephone call (I have only dial-up
access) just for the purpose of using wget. I was looking for an
executable that I could launch in parallel with other applications,
as one can do, I imagine, with the Windows 9x binary.
