Hi,

I would like to ask you about a problem I had while trying to install wget
on my machine. I have mandrake linux.
The problem comes from the fact that I am not administrator on my machine,
and I don't have write access in the /usr/local/ directory.
and wget cannot create /usr/local/bin/wget.

This is the error message.

"/usr/bin/install -c wget /usr/local/bin/wget
/usr/bin/install: cannot create regular file `/usr/local/bin/wget': Permission denied
make[1]: *** [install.bin] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/cedar1/mouawad/ProgramFiles/wget-1.11/src'
make: *** [install.bin] Error 2"

Is there a way where wget can this 'regular file' in my home directory?

Thank you!
Nelly
