yes, for instance, what if our internet connection is down? how can the email get out to notify us of the problem?
I sent this same question to voicestream support and the response i got back gave me an 800 number that when called a modem answers. I cannot seem to get an sms message to be sent from it, though. I suppose i need to know what protocol it uses (tap, sms-tap, ntt or ucp-sms) and connection info, baud rate, data bits, stop bits and parity (8N1 or 7N1). thanks, jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hoekenschnieder, Hokie (Tim G)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, December 21, 2001 3:11 PM Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] sms notifications to a voicestream phone via landline/modem? > Good idea.
