Honestly I couldn't say.

I can tell you this -- it does work from internally in our company and
externally when I work on it at home. This may also be a specific
permission that is set up within VoiceStream and I don't know about it. I
am the app caretaker at VS, and we use the program 24/7 and as far as I know
this option should be working. Because a lot of people have our phones and
this is an issue that should be handled, I'll do a little research and see
if there's anything blocking this. Also, I'll try a couple tests through
the phones.

I'll let you guys know what I find out as soon as I find it out. Have a
great weekend and happy holidays!

And may no server die this weekend.....

Jess

yes, for instance, what if our internet connection is down? how can the
email get out to notify us of the problem?

I sent this same question to voicestream support and the response i got back
gave me an 800 number that when called a modem answers. I cannot seem to
get an sms message to be sent from it, though. I suppose i need to know
what protocol it uses (tap, sms-tap, ntt or ucp-sms) and connection info,
baud rate, data bits, stop bits and parity (8N1 or 7N1).

thanks,

jim
