Honestly I couldn't say. I can tell you this -- it does work from internally in our company and externally when I work on it at home. This may also be a specific permission that is set up within VoiceStream and I don't know about it. I am the app caretaker at VS, and we use the program 24/7 and as far as I know this option should be working. Because a lot of people have our phones and this is an issue that should be handled, I'll do a little research and see if there's anything blocking this. Also, I'll try a couple tests through the phones.
I'll let you guys know what I find out as soon as I find it out. Have a great weekend and happy holidays! And may no server die this weekend..... I sent this same question to voicestream support and the response i got back gave me an 800 number that when called a modem answers. I cannot seem to get an sms message to be sent from it, though. I suppose i need to know what protocol it uses (tap, sms-tap, ntt or ucp-sms) and connection info, baud rate, data bits, stop bits and parity (8N1 or 7N1). thanks, jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hoekenschnieder, Hokie (Tim G)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, December 21, 2001 3:11 PM Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] sms notifications to a voicestream phone via landline/modem? > Good idea.
