Thanks Michel, I'll look at your solution.

The first URL you sent me references "PERFM.BAT" on the NT resource
kit......I checked the resource kit and I cannot find this file.

You can use this

http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-20001201-DM01.htm

I personnaly use this;

The following exemple shows how to configure a server to notify WUG in case
the
CPU utilisation goes beyond 60 % during 10 minutes.

       Configuration of a Perfmon Alert
o Open Start - Run - Perfmon.exe
Select "New Alert Settings" and call it "CPU"
In Comment enter "Alert on 60%/10min CPU
utilisation"
In Counters add " Processor / % Processor Time"
Alert when the value is Over 60
                       Sample Data Every 10 seconds
In Action select " Log an entry in the
application event log"
In schedule, Start scan At "present time" and
Stop Scan At " 2010 " ( scan forever)
                       Click Apply - OK
note: The "Performance Log and Alert" Service must
be running and configured with automatic startup.
       Configure the Event Translator
o Open Start - Run - evntwin.exe (evntwin.exe is
installed during the installation of the SNMP service)
                       Click Edit
Browse Application - SysmonLog and double-click on
Event 2031
Generate Trap if event count reaches 60 within
time interval 600 secondes.
Click OK - Apply - OK
       Configure the snmp Service
o Open Start - Run - Services.msc
                       Select snmp Service - Properties
                       Configure Startup Type at Automatic
In Traps enter the community name and the IP address
of the WUP station

You can then refer to WUP doc. to create a notification on SNMP Trap

and you can refer to http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-20020305-DM01.htm to
associate a nice name to the trap generated.
