Thanks for the quick responses! I would like to note that this *ONLY* works if the user making the change has "Configure Map" checked under user settings.
This box shouldn't have to be checked - in my opionion. As long as the user properties has "configure devices" checked they should be able to make the device change. This isn't the case. Also, it is misleading that the program lets a user without "configure map" checked go in to a device make changes and choose submit. The program replies "saving changes". Very misleading! If the user isn't allowed to make the change the box should be 'grayed out'. I save the configure map function to the admin login so as not to accidently mess up my map. However, I do routinely make changes to devices and have that box checked for my username. Ipswitch - if you're listening, these would be good changes to implement. thanks, Bill -----Original Message----- From: Joel Staiman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, August 14, 2002 7:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [WhatsUp Forum] Changes not saved from Web Interface > I am using v7.03 and have noticed changes made to a device from the web > interface are not saved to my map. To "fix" this and auto-save all changes immediately to disk upon a change... http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-20020321-DM01.htm Works like a charm. ========================= Joel Staiman Manager, Data Operations SNiP Internet and Telecommunications, Inc Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
