Does this apply to all versions of WUG (the KB article makes it look like it's only v4.x and 5.x - did it get fixed in later rev's of WUG)?

Items will show down (red) if an item it depends on is down. -----Original Message----- From: Hazel Wright [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, November 03, 2003 8:12 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] False alerts/down symbols Hi, I'm running Whatsup Gold 7.03 on Windows 2000 Professional. I monitor ADSL routers and VPN links to lots of sites. The problem I'm having is that the links often show that they're down (ie red) but I can ping them. It makes little sense because for example the ADSL link can show that it's down, but the machines behind it show that they're up. When I right-click and ping the ADSL links it is successful. I have increased the Timeout on the links to 20 (max. timeout) but it hasn't helped at all. This has started happening since we installed Whatsup Gold on a W2K machine - it used to run on W98 and we didn't have any of these problems.
